Maryland Crab Cake Recipe

  • 1 tablespoon of prepared mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of Old Bay Seasoning or J.O. Crab Seasoning

  • 1 Tbs. olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ tablespoon of salt

Maryland crab cake recipe;

Drain the crab meat off any water, then handpick the shells of the crab. If you are using the jumbo lump, then there is no need as they will not be shells.

Get a bowel, pour in the mayonnaise, egg, prepared mustard, old bay seasoning or J.O crab seasoning, fresh lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and ¼ tablespoon of salt, then whisk them together. Pour the mixture over the crab meat, then mix gently.

Spray the breadcrumbs and parley over the crab mixture then mix together, doing that gently to avoid mashing them up. Then cover with a plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

Get your 12-inch deep frying pan ready. Shape the crab mixture into cakes, for the ingredients listed above you can get up to 6 servings. To add extra flavor to your crab cake, you can brush the cake with melted butter before frying. Heat the butter and olive oil using your 12-inch frying pan until the butter becomes foamy. Place your cakes in the frying pan and cook for about 5 minutes or until the underside sows a dark golden brown color. Flip over and allow to stay for 5 mins or until it shows a dark golden brown color.
